Special Projects
The Special Projects Coordinator became a permanent full time position in 2001. The Special Projects Coordinator plays an integral role in facilitating and completing a variety of initiatives. The Special Projects Coordinator provides important planning and implementation assistance by identifying and applying for appropriate grants, donations and other contributions and by coordinating unique projects of limited duration.
The Special Projects Coordinator functions in a multi-portfolio capacity and has a broad range of responsibility for projects in various fields including education, counselling, student services, capital, project management, advocacy and liaison.
2003/04 was a year for implementation. The Special Projects Coordinator was responsible for supervising, coordinating and organizing all aspects of the Hockey Rink construction, Department of Justice Community Consultation, Pelican Falls Monument and Memorial Garden Project and Healing Gathering, establishing the Wichiwewein Wellness Services Program and began working with a committee to plan NNEC’s 25th Anniversary Celebration.
